Hung-Chun Lin graduate from the University of Michigan in 2018 and rejoined the Marine Structures Design Lab as a PhD student in 2022. His research interests include composite structure, structural stability and finite element analysis. Before coming to Michigan, he worked as a staff at Chung Cheng Institute of Technology in Taiwan. In July 2023, He became a Ph.D. candidate with a research title “Buckling Analysis and Enhancement Methods for Steel-Concrete-Steel Sandwich Cylindrical Structures under Hydrostatic Pressure”. The study’s purpose is to provide a new structural configuration for offshore wind turbine spar structure and to derive analytical solutions for estimating its structural stability. Ultimately, his goal is to enter academic filed in Taiwan with focus on structure research.
