Andreya Ware is a current PhD student in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Unversity of Michigan. As a student, Andreya has built a career as a researcher beginning with two summers working for the Marine Hydrodynamics Laboratory on-campus learning hand-on skills and various engineering softwares. Following this she spent another two summers working for Fincanteri Bay Shipbuilding completing various project management and planning projects for new build LNG bunker barges. As a current research assistant for the Marine Structure’s and Design Laboratory, Andreya is working to simulate autonomous vessels over long term naval missions and investigate their reliability concerns. This research will be funded by her SMART scholarship, which is sponsered by the Naval Surface Warefare Center-Philadelphia.
